Discover, Explore, Create!

After our exciting field trip to the pumpkin patch, our students brought back different types of pumpkins to continue their learning in the classroom. They had the opportunity to explore each pumpkin by observing their colors, shapes, sizes, and textures, while learning fun facts about how they grow and how they are used. The children truly enjoyed becoming little scientists and explorers for the day as they investigated and compared the pumpkins through hands-on activities.

In addition, students discussed and explored different recipes and creative ways pumpkins can be used, from cooking and baking to making healthy snacks. This experience helped connect their field trip to real-life learning while encouraging curiosity, teamwork, and a love for discovery.

Stone Soup

Our students had a wonderful time participating in our Stone Soup activity! Each child brought a small ingredient to contribute, and together they worked as a team to help create a delicious soup that everyone could enjoy. As the ingredients were added, students learned how even small contributions can make a big difference when we work together. This hands-on experience reinforced important lessons about teamwork, sharing, patience, and cooperation. The children especially loved watching the soup come together and feeling proud of the role they each played. Most of all, the activity helped them understand the joy of helping others and creating something special for everyone as a community.

National Arabic Language Day

We celebrated National Arabic Language Day, and our students truly enjoyed learning about the beauty and importance of the Arabic language and culture. They took part in the celebration by wearing traditional cultural clothing and joining fun, meaningful activities that brought Arabic traditions to life. Throughout the day, students participated in many Arabic letter and language games, which made learning exciting and interactive. The celebration reflected our core values of Leadership with Integrity, Holistic Development, and strong Character and Morals, while following the guidance of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Through stories, games, discussions, and hands-on learning, students developed a deeper appreciation for the Arabic language and learned why it is so important to our faith, identity, and community.

Most importantly, the celebration reinforced Islamic principles of respect, gratitude, and unity. Students were reminded that Allah created people of many nations and cultures, and that learning about one another helps us grow in compassion and understanding. This celebration beautifully reflected the warmth, curiosity, and values of our school community.

Food Drive

ICNA gave our students an opportunity to learn about the importance of helping others in Islam, where giving food and supporting those in need is a valued act of charity. Many of our students were inspired to see how their donations and volunteer efforts could make a real difference. By understanding these values at a young age, we hope to encourage a lifelong habit of generosity and care for the community.

Thank you to everyone in the CLA school community who helped make this year’s food drive a success! Thanks to the generosity of our students, families, and staff, we collected an impressive amount of non-perishable food items for local families in need.

Events like this highlight the strength of our school community and the positive impact we can make when we come together.Thank you again to all who participated and supported the effort. CLA continues to show that small acts of kindness create big change!

Ramadan Workshop

We recently hosted a special Ramadan Workshop at The Daily Drip, where our students had the opportunity to learn, create, and connect in a warm and welcoming environment. During the workshop, our teachers shared meaningful facts and information about Ramadan, helping students understand its importance, traditions, and how Muslims around the world observe it.

Our principal also spoke to students and families about the exciting Ramadan activities we will be hosting throughout the month. These upcoming events will focus on learning, community, and celebration, giving everyone the chance to participate and grow together.

The workshop was a fun and social event that brought our community closer. Students enjoyed hands-on activities such as cookie decorating, creative crafts, and interactive discussions. It was wonderful to see everyone working together, sharing ideas, and celebrating the spirit of Ramadan. We look forward to many more engaging and meaningful activities as we continue to learn about and celebrate this special time of year.
