At CLA we offer a variety of after-school clubs to help students explore their interests, build new skills, and connect with others. From academic and STEM clubs to arts, reading, and service groups, there is something for everyone. These clubs provide a fun and supportive environment where students can develop leadership, creativity, teamwork, and confidence beyond the classroom. We encourage all students to get involved, try new activities, and make the most of their school experience.
Cooking club for early learning and elementary students was both a fun and highly educational experience. The children not only enjoyed preparing simple recipes, but also developed important skills that extend beyond the kitchen. Through each session, they practiced following step-by-step instructions, improved their listening skills, and learned how to work cooperatively with others. It supported early math and literacy development, as students measured ingredients, counted, and read basic directions. It encouraged problem-solving, patience, and independence, all within a supportive and engaging environment.
Overall, the cooking club was a meaningful way for students to learn and grow. It provided valuable teacher-guided learning experiences that helped build confidence, social skills, and a strong foundation for future learning—all while having fun.
Art Club has been a fun and creative experience for our students! Throughout the sessions, the children explored a variety of art activities such as painting, drawing, crafting, and working with different textures and materials. Each project allowed them to use their imagination, express their ideas, and experiment with new tools and techniques. As they worked on their creations, students practiced important skills like following directions, sharing supplies, taking turns, and working patiently from start to finish.
The Art Club also helped build fine motor skills, confidence, and pride in their work. Most importantly, it provided a joyful and encouraging space where our young artists could learn, create, and discover the happiness that comes from self-expression through art
Reading Club Students who participated had the opportunity to experience four exciting weeks of reading and learning. During the program, students spent two weeks exploring English books and two weeks discovering Arabic books.
Throughout the club, students not only read a variety of stories, but also worked together on fun, interactive, and creative projects related to the books. These activities encouraged teamwork, discussion, and critical thinking while making reading enjoyable and meaningful.
The Reading Club helped students build and strengthen their reading skills in both Arabic and English. It also supported vocabulary development, improved comprehension, and increased students’ confidence as bilingual readers. Most importantly, the program fostered a love of reading and created a positive and welcoming space where students could share ideas, express themselves, and grow as learners.
