Crescent Light Academy (CLA) is located in Highland, Indiana, just 35 minutes from downtown Chicago. The Academy began in 2022 as a small Pre-K program founded by a group of community members who sought to create a safe space for Muslim preschoolers to learn their faith for part of the school day. The vision quickly expanded, and within a year it became an officially registered ministry approved to accept state vouchers for qualifying families.

Northwest Indiana families embraced the program, preferring it to traditional daycare because it integrated Islamic values with early learning. The program continued to grow, earning a Level 3 rating in the State Path to Quality rating system for early childhood education.

With growing demand, the founders decided to transition CLA into a full-time school. Since then, enrollment has steadily increased, and CLA has begun its journey toward accreditation to further establish a strong foundation for educational excellence.
